Read the roll sheet, not the nickname
Two descriptions of Secret Formula are in circulation. The trait roll sheet says +50% damage, -50% seconds per attack, and +50% range, at 0.25% on a regular roll and 1.5% on a golden roll. Some unit rankings describe the same trait as doubling damage and range while cutting cooldown in half. Those are not the same numbers. Use the percentage sheet when you compare rolls. Do not average them.
Neptune's Crown is the other top result. It opens a second trait slot and then rolls two different traits. Regular chance is 0.01%. Golden chance is 0.05%. Duplicates cannot land on the same crowned unit. Rerolling a crowned unit rerolls both traits unless you lock one.
Published chances
| Trait | Effect on the roll sheet | Regular | Golden |
|---|---|---|---|
| Neptune's Crown | Second trait slot | 0.01% | 0.05% |
| Secret Formula | +50% damage, -50% SPA, +50% range | 0.25% | 1.5% |
| Sidekick | +1 placement for that unit | 0.75% | 5.5% |
| Jellyfish Jam | -25% SPA aura for nearby towers | 5% | 30% |
| Sea Bear | +150% damage, +50% SPA, -40% range | 2% | 21.45% |
| Vortex | -50% SPA | 1% | 8% |
| Pursuit | +35% range | 6% | 33% |
| Scurvy | -50% damage, +100% SPA, -75% range | 0.25% | 0.5% |
Golden rolls remove the common Strike, Surge, Reach, Wealth, and Scholar results. Surge III is -25% SPA, Strike III is +25% damage, and Reach III is +25% range. Those sit inside a 23.75% regular pool and are not on the golden table. Wealth is -35% upgrade cost and adds no combat stats. Scholar is +50% unit XP from sources other than food.
Which pair to keep
Sidekick and Secret Formula answer different questions. Secret Formula is the strongest single-tower sheet. Sidekick adds a whole extra copy, which matters when an exotic or prismatic is capped at one or two placements. A high-wave note prefers Sidekick plus Sea Bear over a lone Secret Formula when the goal is total board damage. Secret Formula plus Sea Bear is the sheet pairing: the SPA and range from Secret Formula offset Sea Bear's slower attacks and shorter range.
Scurvy is a curse. Reroll it.
Where rerolls come from
Daily and weekly quests are the steady supply. Nightmare act clears have paid lump sums around 35 to 40 rerolls. The free season pass pays some, and the premium pass pays more. The Mr. Krabs merchant has sold single rerolls for 1,500 coins. A first shiny of a unit has paid 3 rerolls. AFK Rock and login calendars add more on some days.
The trait calculator uses independent rolls. It does not model pity or locks. A 10,000-roll pity figure is mentioned in some Neptune's Crown headlines and was not confirmed on the roll sheet used here, so it is not treated as a rule.
