What you are doing
SpongeBob Tower Defense is a lane defense game. You place up to six equipped towers, spend match cash to deploy and upgrade them, and stop waves from leaking. Story chapters, raids, boss battles, rogue, and endless are separate goals. Do not treat one loadout as best for all of them.
First session
- Join the official experience and pick Common SpongeBob, Patrick, or Squidward. They are tutorial units for the opening Conch Street acts.
- Clear early story on Normal, then Hard. First-time chapter achievements, including Ocean Odyssey, are the early source of diamonds for summons. Published ranges for those achievement payouts are often 500 to 2,000 diamonds per tier.
- Place a cheap wave clearer before you spend cash on a single expensive tower. Sand Creature is the usual budget opener. Barnacle Man is a mythic alternative reported around 1,500 match cash.
- Sell duplicate summons you will not use and sell duplicate mounts for coins. Spend the diamonds on banners rather than hoarding every common.
- Stop at player level 10 and open Codes. The menu is locked before that.
Attack types, in plain terms
Full AoE hits everything in the coverage circle. Pierce travels through targets on a straight line, so it wants a long lane. Single target is for bosses. Splash wants enemies clumped by a slow. Line attacks can miss fast enemies when the match is running at 7x or 10x speed. Resource towers such as Krusty Krab make gold, and current endless testing treats that slot as a loss once your damage towers clear early waves on normal income.
Where to go next
- Level 10: redeem BEGINNINGS2 if it still accepts, then read the unresolved strings on that page before you type older codes.
- Level 25: raids and Golden Spatulas.
- Level 50: Boss Battles.
- Level 100: free prestige in the kelp cave, and Rogue mode.
Short story loops are the published XP path. Endless mode does not grant player level XP. A full raid can pay a larger lump of XP and still lose to a 50-second story replay on XP per minute.
Reported XP loops
These are separate tests, not one combined rate.
| Route | Reported result | Use it when |
|---|---|---|
| Conch Street 1, Nightmare or Davy Jones | 250 base XP. One test cites about 33 to 55 seconds at high speed. Another cites 55 to 90 seconds and about 166 XP per minute before a 2x XP boost. | You want a simple prestige loop. |
| Chum Bucket Act 1, Nightmare | About 80 gems, 250 XP, 85 coins, and a 2% Tango Karen drop in roughly 90 seconds. | You want gems with the XP. |
| Rock Bottom 1, Davy Jones | Materials such as Echo Shards and Acorn Alloys. One raid comparison cited about 1,038 XP per minute on a short Davy Jones clear. | You can already clear that difficulty. |
| A 25-wave raid | Large lump XP, often several minutes. One Mermaid Lair test was about 197 XP per minute. | You need Golden Spatulas, not raw levels. |
Bring a 2x Player XP potion or the 979 Robux 2x Player XP pass only if you are already clearing the loop. Speed passes are sold separately: 5x is 499 Robux, 7x is 749, and 10x is 1,495. High speed can make line towers miss fast anchovies. Drop to 3x or 5x if leaks start.
